Suffocate (AB 001.255)
Session Two

The substance looked grim. Bubbling up out of the center of the console the black goop was both foul smelling and very suspect.

What bubbles forth from the console ahead we do not need to become infected with. There are things in this world that are much older than the people who discover them. Sometimes those people disturb one of those things and it comes worming its way up to the surface once more. It's best we move on.

R'yleh thought for a moment and reached into her pack. Fumbling around she produced a strange-looking grenade wrapped in roots and small vines.

And what do you plan to do with the lignifying grenade? Surely you aren't thinking about throwing that into the goop. Do you not understand the concept of splattering? That would be a very poor choice.

She gripped the grenade more tightly in her hand and reached for the pin. Something deep inside her quivered.

How will doing this help our goals? Our needs? This serves no purpose save for endangering our life. Is that what you want?

Lifting her arm into the air she closed her eyes and whispered, “There is no ‘our’ in MY life!” The ball of roots and vines sailed through the cavern and was swallowed up by the slime, only to explode seconds later in a spray of goo, roots and newly sprouted flowers.

Well played…very well played. I know my place. It is good to feel that power again, that danger. We are going to make an excellent pair…

Or How to Survive Being Trapped in a Monsters Body on a Foreign Dimension

When encountering a foreign substance for the first time it is advisable to taste the substance at the first possible chance. That strange bubbling black goo might just be delicious and should someone else discover this first you will miss out on much needed sustenance. As long as it tastes better then the worst thing you have tasted your experience will not have been in vain. Remember when stranded dimensionally waste not, want not.

Costume for a Gutterball (A.B. 001.012)
Session One

I don’t trust this one.  We he should be fed to the spiders.  His incompetence will get us all killed.

Marlon stood ahead of them studying the piece of paper in hand.  Every now and then he would rotate it 90 degrees and look up in a random direction before looking quickly back down again.  He was obviously lost.

Walking up to him, R’yleh attempted to offer help. “You look confused, do you need help navigating that thing?”  Quickly he pulled the map away from her leaving a torrent of excuses and false truths in its wake.  Shrugging she returned to the rest of the party.

He can’t even tell you good lies.  What use will he be if cornered?  If captured?  Will he tell of our position between the pained, laborious breaths of torture?  His will is weak and his spirit weaker still.  He serves no purpose in our plans.

With renewed effort R’yleh pushed forward towards the scout, looming over him and snatching the map from his hands.  How easily he cowered, bowing to the display of force and power.  She hated when Xal'atath was right.  Studying the scribbles and pictures, she attempted to make use of the only piece of solid information they had.
